Important Information About Your Appointments, Treatments, and Use of Our Services

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by R&J Therapeutic Massage. By booking, attending, or receiving treatment at our clinic, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Professional Massage Services
R&J Therapeutic Massage provides professional massage therapy services performed by Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) and Student Massage Therapists. All treatments are provided within the therapist's scope of practice and in accordance with applicable provincial regulations and professional standards.
2. Appointments and Bookings
Appointments may be booked online, by phone, email, or in person. Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact and health information when booking.
3. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
Failure to provide at least 24 hours' notice may result in:
- A cancellation fee of up to 100% of the scheduled treatment fee.
- Future appointments requiring prepayment.
- Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time to avoid delaying subsequent appointments. Full treatment fees may still apply.
5. Health Information and Consent
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate health information and informing their therapist of any changes in their condition before each treatment.
By receiving treatment, clients consent to massage therapy services and understand that massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.
6. Student Massage Therapy Services
Student Massage Therapy treatments are provided by student therapists under their educational requirements.
- Student treatments may not be eligible for insurance reimbursement.
- Reduced student rates apply.
- Receipts will indicate that treatment was provided by a student therapist.
7. Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise agreed.
We accept:
- Cash
- Debit
- Major Credit Cards
- Other approved payment methods
*Outstanding balances must be paid before future appointments can be booked.
8. Direct Billing
Direct billing is offered to participating insurance providers whenever possible.
Clients remain responsible for:
- Deductibles
- Co-payments
- Unpaid balances
- Claims denied by their insurance provider
Direct billing availability is not guaranteed.
9. Professional Boundaries
R&J Therapeutic Massage maintains a professional and respectful environment at all times.
Any inappropriate, abusive, threatening, harassing, or sexual behavior toward staff or therapists will result in immediate termination of the treatment session and possible refusal of future services.
10. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates:
- Are non-refundable.
- Have no cash value.
- Must be presented at the time of redemption.
- May not be replaced if lost or stolen.
11. Privacy Policy
Personal and health information is collected, used, and protected in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and professional standards.
Client information will never be sold or shared without consent except where required by law.
12. Liability
Clients understand that massage therapy outcomes vary and that no guarantees regarding results can be made.
R&J Therapeutic Massage shall not be liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from:
- Failure to disclose medical conditions.
- Failure to follow therapist recommendations.
- Circumstances beyond the clinic's reasonable control.
13. Changes to Terms & Conditions
R&J Therapeutic Massage reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the clinic website and become effective upon publication.
